In the 1920s, Remus was the Ruth of bourbon, hailing not from England, but from Cincinnati. Leveraging his knowledge of the Volstead Act, he found a few loopholes that allowed him to produce bourbon for "medicinal purposes." Recognizing the enormous potential of this opportunity and the exceptional quality of his bourbon, he built a Prohibition empire. Though he maintained a certain level of respect for the Volstead Act, to King George, it was little more than a suggestion.
