The Isle of Jura 18 Year Old sits at the pinnacle of Jura distillery's core range, which was relaunched in mid-2018. This exceptional single malt scotch has a nice, light, and mild wine finish, and its exquisite taste is a result of being aged in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels, followed by a finishing period in Premier Grand Cru Classé Bordeaux barrels. This unique aging process imparts a rich fruitiness to the scotch that is truly exquisite.
Located on the island of Jura in the Inner Hebrides off the West Coast of Scotland, the Jura distillery is owned by Whyte and Mackay, a Glasgow-based company. Whyte and Mackay, in turn, is owned by Emperador Inc., a company based in the Philippines. This ownership structure has allowed the Jura distillery to continue its legacy of producing exceptional single malt scotch that is renowned around the world.
