In 2019, Bardstown Bourbon Company introduced their Discovery series, featuring select whiskies. The latest addition to this series is iteration #5, a Kentucky straight bourbon made by combining four unique whiskies from four different distillers, each with its own mash bill. These whiskies were sourced from esteemed bourbon-makers such as Jim Beam and George Dickel. The breakdown of the blend is as follows: 31% 13-year-old Kentucky bourbon (74% corn, 18% rye, 8% malted barley), 24% 17-year-old Tennessee bourbon (84% corn, 8% rye, 8% malted barley), 25% 7-year-old Kentucky bourbon (78% corn, 10% rye, 12% malted barley), and 19% 6-year-old Kentucky bourbon (75% corn, 13% rye, 12% malted barley). This Kentucky straight bourbon is bottled at 104.7 proof or 52.35% ABV, and only a limited quantity was released to ensure the highest quality in every bottle.
