In August 2021, Garrison Brother's renowned distillery introduced their latest refined bourbon, the Guadalupe Port Cask Finished Bourbon. This select bourbon is aged for at least four years in charred American white oak casks and then finished for an additional two years in tawny port casks that were imported from Portugal's Douro Valley. Derived from 90 hand-picked barrels originally filled in 2016, this bourbon was later transferred into twenty-six 59-gallon port casks in 2020. It has a 107 proof and was initially offered in a limited run of 4,900 bottles across the United States. The Guadalupe Port Cask Finished Bourbon is now an ongoing release from Garrison Brother's distillery. Its aroma is characterized by bush berries, juicy plums, and dark fruits, while its palate boasts notes of cinnamon, chocolate, strawberries, and butter.
